Hi member!
We Wear Bras is celebrating it's one year anniversary! It was on April 2 2022 that the name wewearbras.com was registered. The day after April Fools Day, no joke. It has been a wonderful adventure building the site even with the pains that came along with it. Go figure even with all of the testing and configuring that we still had problems! Many have been resolved but a few small ones remain. Like most things in life, there is never perfection. Needless to say we are glad that you are here with us and hope to see more of you! You are the reason we are here. I am still working towards trying to having a "Town Hall" meeting again. Just have not figured out the date just yet.

New Chat!

Several requests were received for changes to chat. Mainly having the ability to have private chats along with group chats. As donations were received the chat package was purchased which does allow private chats. If you are not the chatty type that is okay, you never get a notification unless you go into the rooms.
|
When you enter chat, there are 3 channels or rooms that contain the community rooms where chat is open and not private. These are viewable by all logged in at this site.
|
Starting a private chat is as easy as clicking on the user that you want to chat with and send them a message. If they are interested, they join and that session is private.
|
Reply to an individual message in the list, hover over the message and you will see an arrow pointed to the left. that is the reply. Pretty easy stuff.

Just a FYI here, the chime is not always working for new messages, working on that one!

Are you an non poster?
|
Since we are community based, we do need community participation. That means the you are expected to post from time to time and be an active member of this community. Nothing new here this was covered as part of the registration process. Non posters will be handled automatically by "Big Brother". "Big Brother" is a job in the software and looks for users that have not posted and purges them out. The purpose of this is to make those in the community to feel comfortable to post and feel free of lurkers. Sad to say we can draw on some of that crowd. So if you have not been by for a while, log on in and say hi!

Estimated annual cost of keeping the site is about $900 per year, I rounded up. Annual expenses include support from the authors of the various plugins for Word Press, hosting and other services that are used to operate this site.These expenses will need to be maintained on an annual basis because we never know when something will break as the result of an update. Something will inevitably break as the result of an update that will require support from the author of that plugin.
