Forum FAQ’s
Why do I receive so many email notices from WWB?
- You have to many “Subscribed to items”. Consider changing your “Subscribed items”, to “Watches”, watches do not send emails. when there is an update, only a notice in the status bar.
- You get many private messages and need to turn notifications off for them.
Here is where to do it! - To manage the topics that you Subscribe to or Watch, you and go to you user profile and go to “Topic Subscriptions” or “Manage Watches” while there you can remove any topics that you are no longer interested in receiving updates from. Subscriptions options section will allow you to automatically allow you to subscribe to topics that you post in or topics you create. Another option here is to receive a “Weekly Digest” of updated topics and posts. It should be noted here that the actual content is not sent out, we want you to participate in YOUR forum!
What is the difference between Watches and Subscriptions?
Not to be confused with Subscriptions, think of setting a ‘Watch’ as more like creating a Bookmark.
Watches works as more of an in forum notification system, instead of sending Emails. Logged in users will have the ability to keep up with interesting topics via the conveniently added ‘Watch’ button attached to the bottom of topics, and underneath the reply editor. Also added will be a new ‘Watches’ button in the header of the forum for users to review and un-watch, although this can also be done on an individual level from within a watched topic itself.
